Yaz Causing Heart Attacks

While there had been so many different side effects that would be ranging from the serious to the mild that would be related to the Yaz drug, their most serious side effect would be the heart attacks. As with all prescriptions, it would be very important that the user would maintain the healthy lifestyles, not only just for their own sakes, but because there would never be a drug that would not have any type of complications. Each of the Yaz users would experience their own types of side effects; some women would be more prone to the serious health complications from taking Yaz then the others. The Yaz heart attack could be the very serious conditions.
The common symptoms that would have been reported from the woman taking
Yaz with the illnesses along with the heart attacks that had been allegedly caused by the Yaz or had been related to taking Yaz would be including, abdominal pain, chest pains, acid reflux, heartburn, sweating or increased body temp, chest tightness, breathing difficulties, dizziness, the change in your body’s equilibrium, weakness in your legs and arms, light headedness, fainting, intense pains in your upper body, which would be including your back and face, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, fatigue or even exhaustion.
Should the prescribed Yaz users experience these symptoms, they should immediately call their physician. Any of these aforementioned symptoms can just be very mild effects of the Yaz. However, they would be warning signs regardless of their severity.
All medications and their side effects would be depending upon their user’s medical histories. The combination of the different drugs or use of the recreational substance such as tobacco or alcohol could weigh very heavily upon the side effects that would be experienced by Yaz users. That would be why it would be very essential for the user to be maintaining a very healthy diet along with their lifestyle when they would be taking the Yaz. But chances of having the heart attack in conjunctions with using Yaz would be at their highest when the user would have medical histories of, heart disease, prior heart attacks, high cholesterol and blood pressure, diabetes, depression, obesity, menopause, smoking, metabolism complications or even alcoholism.
The types of drinks and foods that the users of Yaz would be consuming would also have the bearing on their severity of the side effects they would have. Foods that would be very high in cholesterol, calories, sodium, fat, preservatives and sugar could have great emphasis on the unhealthy lifestyles and would ultimately cause the serious side effects from Yaz. The types of foods and beverages that would have high sugars or very high alcohol content put you at the greater chances having the very bad side effects due to the Yaz.
While initial symptoms could be enough warning signs to seek out the medical analysis along with treatment, the Yaz user’s medical histories that would be including any of these aforementioned conditions and would be experiencing these symptoms of the heart attacks then it is very important that she would receive the emergency medical assistance. This could be the matter of death and life. After the treatments and the physician analysis, these Yaz users would be required to have the new healthier lifestyles. This would be including new prescriptions along with the healthier demand with their exercise and diet.
Problems Associated with the Gallbladder as Resulting from Yaz
April 6, 2010 by US Drug Recall
Yaz is a prescription drug for birth control that is under-fire for potentially causing a number of harmful side effects. Gallbladder disease is included as one of the most common of those side effects. This disease results from the formation of gallstones within the organ. Contained within the liver, the gallbladder is small and stores bile as well as aides indigestion. Gallbladder disease is normally not life threatening, but it is a painful condition that can create additional problems with digestion. Women are two times more likely than men to develop gallbladder disease. As associated with Yaz, gallbladder disease may have far-reaching consequences.
Gallbladder disease usually takes the forms of cholelithiasis or cholecystitis. Cancer of the gallbladder also exists, although it is rare. The former results when gallstones form within the gallbladder and prevent bile flow from the liver to the intestines; cholecystitis occurs when the gallbladder is inflamed. Both conditions are very painful and have the potential to cause serious infections.
Gallbladder disease can produce the following symptoms:
- Intense pain of the upper back, typically located on the body’s right side or in the middle of the shoulder blades.
- Upper abdominal pain, similar to that of an ulcer.
- Low-grade fever accompanied by sweating.
- Diarrhea, vomiting, nausea and loss of appetite.
Jaundice is yet another symptom exhibited by gallbladder disease that is serious in nature. Bile from the liver flows back into the gallbladder if bile ducts grow plugged with gallstones. From there, the bile flows into the bloodstream. Skin grows yellow when this occurs, and eyes also become yellow in more severe cases. Jaundice can create vitamin deficiencies as well as liver disease.
Yaz triggers a spike in estrogen, and this can potentially raise cholesterol levels. High cholesterol is one contributing factor to the formation of gallstones. Attacks from gallstones occur in rapid succession; once the initial stone occurs, the gallbladder falls increasingly vulnerable to future attacks. Pain that results from an attack can last for up to five hours. That pain generally will be experienced in the back or the abdomen, and can have duration of a half hour or several hours.
Cholecystits produces almost the identical symptoms as demonstrated by gallstones, in addition to inflammation. That swelling also restricts bile ducts and can cause problems involving the pancreas, digestion and bile displacement. The pancreas is crucial for the digestive process, and inflammation of this organ could be life-threatening.
Gallbladder disease shares a number of symptoms that are associated with other conditions as well. Accordingly, if you or someone you know experiences any of the above symptoms, you are advised to seek immediate medical attention. This is especially true of those persons who have been taking Yaz. If the only exhibited symptom is a stomach ache, attention from a medical provider should still be sought. Early detection could prevent future digestive problems, or even save your life. Detection methods such as blood tests, ultrasounds, CAT scans, X-Rays and other means can be employed by medical experts to find gallbladder inflammation and gallstones.
Two surgery procedures are linked to gallbladder disease: laparoscopic cholecystectomy and open cholecystectomy. In the former procedure, four incisions are made around the rib cage, hip and abdomen to remove obstructions from the gallbladder rather than altogether removing the organ. This surgery usually requires one or two hours, but just one day of recovery in the hospital is necessary. With a cholecystectomy operation, an incision placed under the rib cage allows physicians to remove the gallbladder. This can require one or two hours as well, although recovery time in the hospital is up to five days.
The two surgeries both contain the potential for side effects. With gallbladder cleaning measures, future attacks may still occur. This includes future incidents of back and abdominal pain, and heightened risk for pancreatitis, liver disease and jaundice. Removal of the gallbladder is the only certainty to stop gallstones. Infection and blood clotting may also result from the surgical procedures. In addition, digestive complications may occur from gallbladder removal.
If you experience any of the symptoms described here or are diagnosed with having gallbladder disease, you are advised to seek immediate medical attention. Assistance from a medical professional can begin ready treatment. If you think Yaz has caused your gallbladder disease, it is your legal right to seek compensation for all medical expenses you incur. You may also receive compensation for pain and suffering endured by you and your family. Blood Clots are Associated with Use of Yaz

A potential side effect recently associated with Yaz, a prescription drug for birth control, is thrombus, or blood clotting. Usually, after a person has suffered such injury as a cut, the body naturally produces a blood clot as a means to heal. The blood coagulates at the cut to prevent further loss of blood. As such, a blood clot poses no risk for harm. Blood clots as caused by Yaz, however, can be quite dangerous.
The most severe cases are identified by blood clots that occur in an artery or vein. Those that occasion in a major artery are life threatening. A difficult element of blood clots is their ability to arise unexpectedly. It is essential, therefore, that individuals be aware of symptoms in order to prevent and detect these conditions.
Blood clots that form in the lungs produce such symptoms as low-grade fever, shortness of breath, and traces of blood in coughing, rapid heart rate and sharp chest pain. Those clots that occur in the artery of a leg or arm may create faint blue colorations, swelling and sudden pain. Should a clot form in a vein, the symptoms may include tenderness and swelling. Blood clots in the brain have the potential to cause speech impairment, seizures, muscle weakness and visual disturbances. These can lead to transient ischemic attack or stroke. A blood clot located in the heart may cause chest pains that lead to heart attack. Such clots can also move to other arteries and organs of the body. Such conditions as heart failure, atrial fibrillation, enlarged heart, past heart attack, valvular heart disease and atherosclerosis can create blood clots. In the abdomen, a blood clot may be signified by diarrhea, vomiting and intense abdominal pain.
If you experience any of the symptoms listed here, you are advised to seek immediate medical attention. Obtain assistance from a health professional or physician to begin ready treatment. If you think Yaz caused you to have blood clotting, it is your legal right to seek compensation for all medical expenses that you incur. You may also obtain compensation for pain and suffering as experienced by you and your family.
Although life insurance is not readily available in some countries and to some people, Yaz is offered worldwide.
Bayer Pulls Yaz’s Ad Due To FDA Warning

Bayer Healthcare pulled the 60-second Yaz birth-control ad. This move had came after the FDA had expressed their concerns on how the two ads for Yaz had suggested that this drug could help to overcome acne and PMS.
FDA had criticized the Yaz ads, ‘Balloons,’ which would still being aired today.
FDA had issued the warning letter about this ad that had been created by Y&R. Just one of these had had been removed from airing.
Their warning letter had said that since Yaz has been approved as the contraceptive pill along with being a treatment of PMDD and in a few cases it had helped with acne, their ads could have been viewed as them suggesting this drug to be a remedied for PMS along with the broader conditions that would cause the acne.
There has yet to be any clear distinctions.
The FDA had cited the ad that was named “Not Going to Take It” telling them that they would need to distinguish the differences between PMS and PMDD. This drug treats the PMDD but is not at all approved for treating the PMS. Their letter had also said that the pictures of the playful, euphoric women that had been singing the song “We’re not gonna take it” as they were kicking, punching and pushing the words that would be describing the symptoms like moodiness, irritability, feeling anxious and bloating had suggested that Yaz was going to treat the PMS.
Yaz Strokes

Like dangers of heart attacks, a woman could experience the stroke when their body’s estrogen levels would be increased. The prescription contraceptive, regardless of it being the patch or the pill form, would affect your hormone levels. This would be the leading reason that many women have experienced more strokes when they would be reaching certain ages over men. Y
az is nothing different, according to all the allegations women who have been using this prescription drug have been reporting that they have experienced strokes as their severe side effects. Even the low estrogen pill would give the women greater chances of experiencing the strokes. The Yaz strokes truly are a very serious condition.
The stroke would occur when your brain tissue would stop receiving the oxygen. The tissue then will quickly die away as the oxygen and blood flow would become cut off. The stroke affects many abilities in people and would leave them with the limited or even without feelings in certain areas of their bodies, movement of their legs and arms, hearing, balance, respiratory functions, vision and speech would become very hard for a person to do. This would also include their bowel movements.
If a person would experience the symptoms of the stroke, they would need to have medical attention immediately. Treatment and reaction are very urgent for one to receive since when you would be able to cut the time that had been spent without the medical attention, you could almost prevent death and try to save more of the brain from being ruined. The symptoms of the strokes would be including, Intense headache, loss or sudden blurriness in vision in either one or both of your eyes, fatigue, Exhaustion, Facial pain, vomiting, unable to speak coherently, slurring words, Numbness or legs or arms, trouble walking, difficulty breathing, chest pains, diarrhea and nausea.
Women who would be using this birth control are also likely to be experiencing the strokes if they would be over 35 and would regularly use alcohol or tobacco, or if they would have the medical history of having diabetes, high blood pressure or cholesterol. As with using any prescription medications, it is very essential for you to lead the healthy lifestyle when you would be trying to avoid the horrible side effects of this drug. However, everyone who has used Yaz or any other type of prescription birth control would experience different types of side effects that would be based upon the factors of their lifestyles, family medical history and age, amongst many others.
If someone you love or yourself has become a victim of the Yaz stroke, you truly do have the rights for seeking the compensation for your medical expense, the loss of wages, physician or hospital treatments along with rehabilitation, along with any other financial damage that your loved one or you would experience. You possess legal rights and personal obligations to being compensated for the medical expenses, along with your personal suffering and pain.
Yaz Side Effects
September 2, 2009 by US Drug Recall
All medications have the potential for side effects and the oral contraceptive, Yaz, is no exception to this very well known rule. However, not everyone experiences side effects and, if they do, the side effects are minimal in most cases.
Yaz, manufactured by Bayer Pharmaceuticals, has been under the microscope with 32 federal court cases pending against Bayer regarding their famous contraceptive. It seems to not be one of those medications that sport few side effects and are hardly a blip on the side effect radar. As a matter of fact, Yaz has left quite the mark due to its side effects and the number of women reporting experiencing them.
As for what is the alleged cause of these side effects is the ingredient drospirenone, which is not found in other oral contraceptives. This is an ingredient that not only prevents ovulation, but also changes the cervix and the uterine lining in a way that a fertilized egg cannot attach to the uterus even if fertilization does occur.
Although this sounds fantastic and is why Yaz is an extremely popular birth control pill, there have been numerous side effects listed and they are not your average birth control pill side effects. These are more serious side effects that include:
- Blood clots in the legs – Oral contraceptives have warned of the potential for blood clots for years, but it has been alleged that Yaz causes deep vein thrombosis (DVT), which can lead to a pulmonary embolism (PE). If you have pain in your calf, leg cramps, or swelling in your feet and legs, it is important to seek medical attention immediately because this could be a sign of a serious condition.
- Pulmonary embolism (PE) – If you experience shortness of breath, sharp chest pains, or you are coughing up blood, you are experiencing signs of a PE.
- Heart attack – If you feel heaviness in your chest or chest pains, you could be having a heart attack.
- Stroke – You may experience a severe headache, numbness or weakness in a single arm or leg, or changes in your vision or speech.
- Liver damage – Liver damage has also been associated with Yaz in that individuals become Jaundiced (yellowing of skin or whites of eyes), pain in the upper-right abdomen, and dark urine.
- High cholesterol – High cholesterol can later lead to issues with the circulatory system that can lead to heart attack and stroke.
These side effects are a far cry from the usual dizziness, nausea, and headache side effects that accompany most oral contraceptives. However, other oral contraceptives do not use drospirenone as one of their ingredients. Although proven to be quite effective in preventing pregnancy, treating PMDD, and also treating acne, some women have developed the more serious side effects that have led to severe conditions that required medical intervention. This has led to a total of over 30 federal cases against Bayer Pharmaceuticals regarding the side effects of Yaz. As it stands, there has been no recall of the birth control pill by the Food and Drug Administration.

Yaz and the Pulmonary Embolism Link
September 1, 2009 by US Drug Recall
Many women are asking their doctors about the popular birth control pill, Yaz, and they are getting exactly what they ask for. However, there are a number of side effects that have been associated with Yaz and these side effects are appearing in more and more women the longer the contraceptive is on the market.
However, the side effects that are encountered are going beyond the normal nausea, headache, reduced sex drive, and possible fatigue. As a matter of fact, actual conditions are being brought forth in women who appear to be perfectly healthy, but lose that good health after taking Yaz for a period of time. This is thought to be due to the chemical drospirenone.
Drospirenone elevates the potassium levels within the blood, which causes a condition called hyperkalemia. This condition can do such things as disrupt heart rhythms and also lead to death. But there is one condition that is extremely severe and is one of the reasons why lawsuits are mounting against Bayer. The condition is pulmonary embolism (PE).
A PE is a condition in which blood is unable to travel through the lung due to a blockage in an artery that belongs to the lung. Lung function is compromised and a number of symptoms are experienced.
If you have taken Yaz and you experience the symptoms of a pulmonary embolism, then you need to seek medical attention as soon as possible. The symptoms of a PE are:
- A bloody cough.
- Chest pain that radiates into the shoulder, arm, neck, or jaw.
- A rapid heartbeat.
- Shortness of breath that happens suddenly.
If you’re having a PE, then you may also experience bluish-colored or clammy skin, fever, excessive sweating, anxiety, lightheadedness, fainting, leg swelling, wheezing, or a weak pulse.
A third of people who have a PE that has not been treated will not survive it. Those who do survive may have to suffer with heart damage and pulmonary hypertension.
Although not all women taking Yaz will develop a PE, there are certain women at higher risk. The risk seems to be associated with a high risk for blood clots. Those women who are at a higher risk of developing PE while taking Yaz are those who smoke, those over 35, and those who have a family history of PE.
For those women over 35 who also smoke, they are encouraged to either stop smoking or to refrain from taking Yaz in order to avoid the potential for a Yaz pulmonary embolism. Yaz does disclose this on their packaging, but the disclosure deals more with the blood clots themselves rather than explaining that a PE can be the result of those blood clots traveling from the arms and legs to the lungs.
At this time, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not issued a recall, but there are over 30 Federal cases pending that allege Yaz is the cause of conditions ranging from PE to sudden death. It is expected that more lawsuits will be filed. As it stands, there are a number of states with awsuits against the Bayer Corporation for not disclosing the more severe side effects to the public.

Yaz Lawsuit
July 29, 2009 by US Drug Recall
One Yaz lawsuit is one too many because that means more and more women have allegedly experienced disabling side effects from the birth control pill.
As it stands, the number of Yaz lawsuits are growing at a rather fast pace due to the alleged side effects that include stroke, heart attack, pulmonary embolism (PE), deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and even gallbladder disease. There have also been a few instances in which death has occurred and the finger was pointed at Yaz as the cause.
Aggressive marketing campaigns by the Bayer Corporation have led to sales as high as $616 million in 2008. The unique chemical drospirenone (DRSP) is a chemical that will not be found in other oral contraceptives. It not only works to prevent fertilization, but will work to prevent attachment of a fertilized egg to the uterus if the very rare instance of fertilization does occur. This has had women clamoring for the birth control pill because they want something that is effective. Yaz has also been effective in treating Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder and acne in women as young as 14 years of age.
However, drospirenone has been under the microscope and so has the Bayer Corporation due to the number of Yaz lawsuits that have come to light. A number of states have lawsuits pending against Bayer over the most severe side effects of Yaz that have allegedly caused heart problems and other health issues in women.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ruled that the marketing campaigns carried out by Bayer were “deceptive” and “misleading” in that they marketed the drug as “safe” despite knowledge that Yaz could cause healthy women to be at risk for life-threatening injuries. At this very moment, women are buying the pills and they still do not carry adequate warnings. A recall has been suggested, but the FDA has yet to issue that recall. Many advocacy groups state that the contraceptive should be recalled because the benefits are not any better than those using traditional birth control pill ingredients.
Of the 32 federal lawsuits against Bayer regarding Yaz, the plaintiffs consist of those who have experienced:
- Strokes
- Heart attacks
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
- Heart arrhythmias
- Gallbladder disease
- Pulmonary embolism (PE)
- Sudden death
As for why drospirenone is being labeled as the reason for these side effects is due to the fact that it can raise the potassium level in the body. This elevated level of potassium can cause the balance between salt and water to become unbalanced, which can lead to significant health problems that include the above listed conditions. This is why consumer advocacy groups have listed Yaz as one of the medications that should not be taken. There have been several reports and studies that have shown possible problems with Yaz for several years. It was in April of 2002 that the British Medical Journal printed a story citing 40 cases of DVT of women using Yaz. In February 2003, the journal disclosed that 2 deaths had occurred as a result of thrmboembolism believed to be caused by Yaz.

Yaz Heart Attack Side Effects
July 29, 2009 by US Drug Recall
If you have not yet heard the news regarding the birth control pill, Yaz, and the potential serious side effects that have been associated with it, it is time that you know. Whether you have taken Yaz or you are planning to take Yaz in the future, it is good to know what is happening with this birth control pill in the pharmaceutical world.
So far, a number of side effects have been associated with Yaz and they are serious. For instance, such side effects as blood clots have been known to cause deep vein thrombosis (DVT). DVT can then lead to a pulmonary embolism (PE) if DVT is left untreated and the blood clot travels to and blocks an artery in the lungs.
Although these conditions do not happen to everyone, healthy individuals have been found to develop a number of health issues. For instance, you may find yourself eventually dealing with Yaz heart attack side effects. Although heart attack survival is relatively high, there are times in which it can result in instant death. If you would experience a heart attack as a result of taking Yaz, you will have complications with your heart indefinitely.
As for how Yaz can cause heart attack, the chemical drospirenone raises a woman’s blood potassium level. When this occurs, the salt and the water within the body become unbalanced. This, in turn, causes heart and circulatory issues and can cause a woman to fall victim to a heart attack.
And just so you know the symptoms of a heart attack in case you find yourself dealing with one of the Yaz heart attack side effects, here they are:
- Tightness in the chest
- Chest pain
- Shortness of breath
- Pain shooting into your arm, neck, jaw, or head
If you experience one or more of these symptoms, seek medical attention immediately. If you take Yaz, you will want to try to determine if Yaz is the cause. If it is, you may wish to seek the assistance of a lawyer.
As for any recalls on the product, there have been none. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has so far clamped down on the Bayer Corporation for their misleading advertising campaigns. Currently, Yaz is the highest selling birth control method on the market, but many of the side effects were not disclosed, such as Yaz heart attack side effects. As it stands, these side effects and the potential conditions that can result are still not being disclosed to the public. If you were to purchase a package of Yaz today, you would not find much of the information that is important for you to know.
For those who already have heart problems, diabetes, and a number of other conditions, they are at a higher risk of developing a severe condition while using Yaz. Women over 35 and who smoke are also at a higher risk, which the documentation that accompanies Yaz does state that those women fitting that specific criteria are at a higher risk of blood clots, which can lead to such conditions as DVT, PE, and heart attack.

Yaz Birth Control Lawsuit
July 29, 2009 by US Drug Recall
As time goes on, every state will probably have at least one Yaz birth control lawsuit. This is due to the fact that the chemical, drospirenone, is used in Yaz and it has been associated with a number of conditions that have developed in women. Each Yaz birth control lawsuit is related to such conditions as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), stroke, pulmonary embolism (PE), and sudden death.
The basis for each Yaz birth control lawsuit is the fact that the Bayer Corporation, Yaz’s maker, released advertising campaigns that stated the birth control pill has a broad range of uses and that potentially serious side effects have been minimized. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) determined this to be misleading and that the efficacy of the birth control pill was overstated. Bayer fit a $20 million bill to correct its ads and must have FDA approval before running new ads. However, the FDA has not recalled the contraceptive, so it is still available on the market. There is no word as to whether or not a recall could possibly occur. This is despite the fact that there have been a number of lawsuits filed alleging that Yaz caused a number of serious conditions.
These serious conditions include:
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
- Pulmonary embolism (PE)
- Heart attack
- Stroke
- Bladder problems
- Sudden death
And these are not all of the issues that are being cited in the many lawsuits that have been filed against the Bayer Corporation. Women have also experienced menstrual clotting that has led to serious conditions and a lot of pain and suffering.
Studies have shown that the reason why Yaz has a higher potential for causing these side effects than traditional birth control pills is because of the use of drospirenone. This is a chemical that can raise the potassium levels in the blood. Although potassium is good for the body, it can be dangerous in large doses. This elevation can lead to heart and other circulatory issues because such a high level causes the body to lose its salt and water balance. Too much of one and too little of the other can be detrimental to a person’s health.
So if you have taken Yaz or know someone who has and you have had one of the above conditions, you may want to speak to a lawyer. Because no recall has been issued, Yaz continues to be distributed every day. There are a number of lawsuits throughout the country, including lawsuits that have alleged Yaz caused a severe condition or even death. If you suspect that the cause of your condition is due to taking Yaz, try to do something about it so that you can be compensated accordingly. Each Yaz birth control lawsuit could be making a difference in how the FDA handles issues regarding Yaz in the future. It is also important that every case is made known in order to understand the scope in which Yaz may be affecting the health of American women.
