The pulmonary embolism would occur when the foreign body would travel through your bloodstream and would end up right in your lungs, this would be where it would block your main artery and then it could cause more serious problems that would be including death. Women have been reporting the pulmonary embolisms that would be due to them all using the Yaz birth control. This blockage of your blood flowing to your lungs would be caused by the increased estrogen levels in your body, this would be much like the causes of strokes, and this would be a very severe symptom that has been caused due to taking the Yaz. The Yaz pulmonary embolism can also be the same side effect when you would be taking Yasmin instead of Yaz.
Like most other side effects, the woman would be susceptible to having more of the severe results when it would be depending upon their family’s history, her medical history, diet, age, along with any type of substance abuse they would be doing. Any of the factors, when they would be combined with using Yaz or the similar prescriptions for birth control drugs could lead to be very dangerous, if it wouldn’t kill you. However, the women that have been reporting on that despite them following their physician’s instructions along with leading the very healthy lifestyle, they had experienced the pulmonary embolisms since they had started to take Yaz.
The pulmonary embolisms that would be the result of taking Yaz would be the more extreme versions of the blood clots side effect on a person. Embolisms in your lungs would become most commonly caused from the blood clots, but they could be formed from other factors also. When the blood clot would occur and then it travels through your bloodstream, rather then it sitting where it had formed, it would follow your path straight to your lungs where it would cause the embolism to happen in your lung’s main arteries. Blood clots form in your legs and would be due to the sedentary dormancy, but, they can form anywhere in your body, even right there in your own heart, lungs or even your eyes.
The symptoms of the pulmonary embolisms would be very similar to the heart attacks along with the strokes, and so this would need to he caught very soon before they would become fatal for the patient that would have them. However, you would find out that unlike the strokes and heart attacks, the pulmonary embolisms would not normally cause the sudden deaths, but it could commonly be responsible for many deaths during the hospital treatments. Symptoms of the pulmonary embolisms would be including, the increased or the irregular heartbeats, very hard chest pains, you might get pains in your upper body, this would be including your jaw, neck and shoulders, this would be varying in the intensity, having a very hard time breathing, getting exhausted for no reason at all, you may even cough up blood, dizziness, loss of equilibrium and fainting, wheezing, sweating with fever and slowed down pulse.

As more women have been forward with all of the side effects that they have been suffering from due to taking the Yaz, it is truly becoming very evident that there is dangers that have stemed from taking this specific birth control method. The side effects like gallbladder disease, heart attacks, blood clots, strokes and so many more types of health complications that would be ranging from the severe to the minor effects that are linked straight to Yaz and the similar contraceptives out there on the market. Yaz is a fourth generation contraceptive using drospirenone, the synthetic progestin that would be very successful when used to prevent pregnancies. The Yaz lawsuit could possibility be for you, if you would have experienced any of the side effects that have been proven to be due to the Yaz drug.
Originally Yaz had been manufactured and created as Yasmin that was by Berlex Laboratories back in 2001, in 2006 Yaz had been reintroduced when Bayer assumed the controls over Berlex and then the FDA had given this contraceptive their approval. For the last 3 years, Yaz had become very popular and a profitable birth control in the US, as Bayer had marketed all of this drugs intensely and then made it the favorite of the physicians nationwide. But, the same marketing campaigns that had been used by Bayer for the Yaz and the competing companies had been criticized and chastised for being very misleading and untrue.
The very first red flag had been raised back in 2003 when FDA had issued the warning letter to Berlex about their marketing campaigns for Yasmin not providing any of the information that would be regarding the possible side effects of this drug, and that this company claims Yasmin’s superiority in competing methods of the birth controls was unfounded. 5 years later, while Bayer had been operating the much larger and much more intensive ads for the Yaz, the FDA had again warned the company that their claims of the superiority were only hyperbole and truly misleading to the patients, and had additionally warned them that this marketing for the Yaz as anything more than the birth control had been unacceptable. Bayer had been marketing these contraceptive drugs as the treatments for acne, pms, and pmdd. The FDA has only approved the uses of the Yaz for the very mild cases of the acne along with the PMDD.
The irresponsible marketing campaigns had led to these current campaigns of TV ads in which the company Bayer had to correct their previous statements about the Yaz usefulness along with the side effects of this drug. Their new advertising campaigns cost Bayer over $20,000,000. Ultimately, the false advertising along with their shady marketing plans had led to the harmfulness, if not their fatal side effects along with the serious health issues for so many different women that have been using Yaz for as their contraceptive or different purposes.
Yaz has been accused of causing the side effects that would be as severe and very harmful as the strokes, blood clots, gallbladder disease, pulmonary embolism and heart attacks. This drug had also been responsible for the wide variety of the medium and minor side effects also, which could eventually lead the women to the more serious health issues over the longer period of time that would be requiring the costly medical treatments. If your loved one or yourself have been experiencing or had experienced any of the side effects that would be associated with the Yaz, regardless of your reasons that it would have been prescribed to you, see your physician immediately so you would be able to get the medical treatments you will be needing.

While there had been so many different side effects that would be ranging from the serious to the mild that would be related to the Yaz drug, their most serious side effect would be the heart attacks. As with all prescriptions, it would be very important that the user would maintain the healthy lifestyles, not only just for their own sakes, but because there would never be a drug that would not have any type of complications. Each of the Yaz users would experience their own types of side effects; some women would be more prone to the serious health complications from taking Yaz then the others. The Yaz heart attack could be the very serious conditions.
The common symptoms that would have been reported from the woman taking
Yaz with the illnesses along with the heart attacks that had been allegedly caused by the Yaz or had been related to taking Yaz would be including, abdominal pain, chest pains, acid reflux, heartburn, sweating or increased body temp, chest tightness, breathing difficulties, dizziness, the change in your body’s equilibrium, weakness in your legs and arms, light headedness, fainting, intense pains in your upper body, which would be including your back and face, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, fatigue or even exhaustion.
Should the prescribed Yaz users experience these symptoms, they should immediately call their physician. Any of these aforementioned symptoms can just be very mild effects of the Yaz. However, they would be warning signs regardless of their severity.
All medications and their side effects would be depending upon their user’s medical histories. The combination of the different drugs or use of the recreational substance such as tobacco or alcohol could weigh very heavily upon the side effects that would be experienced by Yaz users. That would be why it would be very essential for the user to be maintaining a very healthy diet along with their lifestyle when they would be taking the Yaz. But chances of having the heart attack in conjunctions with using Yaz would be at their highest when the user would have medical histories of, heart disease, prior heart attacks, high cholesterol and blood pressure, diabetes, depression, obesity, menopause, smoking, metabolism complications or even alcoholism.
The types of drinks and foods that the users of Yaz would be consuming would also have the bearing on their severity of the side effects they would have. Foods that would be very high in cholesterol, calories, sodium, fat, preservatives and sugar could have great emphasis on the unhealthy lifestyles and would ultimately cause the serious side effects from Yaz. The types of foods and beverages that would have high sugars or very high alcohol content put you at the greater chances having the very bad side effects due to the Yaz.
While initial symptoms could be enough warning signs to seek out the medical analysis along with treatment, the Yaz user’s medical histories that would be including any of these aforementioned conditions and would be experiencing these symptoms of the heart attacks then it is very important that she would receive the emergency medical assistance. This could be the matter of death and life. After the treatments and the physician analysis, these Yaz users would be required to have the new healthier lifestyles. Multi District Litigation Assigned To Yaz Due To The Side Effects

According to the recent decisions by Judicial Panels on the Multi District Litigation’s, the US District Courts for all the Southern Districts of Illinois would be overseeing and hearing all of the drugs defect cases that would be brought to the federal courts involving the Yasmin,Yaz along with the other birth control drugs, that would be using drospirenone as their key ingredient. The cases, Multi District Litigation No. 2100, reflected state to state allegations that had been by the women that had been using these prescription birth controls that would be liable for the wrongful marketing along with the sales practices that would be resulting in the products liability.
Transferee Judge Herndon from Southern Illinois would be overseeing all of the federal litigation’s that would be involving the claims that would be against the Yaz and all the other related drugs to this type of case. The decisions to turn MDL’s over to Southern Illinois judges had been announced back on October 1st, only about 7 days after their initial hearing had become a MDL. This would be very significant when it would show the urgency of developing the clear determination in these causes of the injuries and the deaths, as well as these judicial imposed responsibilities of Bayer along with the other manufacturing companies that make these drugs.
The drugs Ocella, Yasmin and Yaz, along with all the other related contraceptives that have been linked right to the variety of the side effects, from the very mild cases that would consist of the headaches along with the vomiting all the way to the more serious side effects of the blood clots, heart attacks and strokes. Originally this had been just prescribed for the use as being the birth control, mild acne and premenstrual pains, these drugs would be containing the drospirenone which would be causing the increases of the potassium and the estrogen in ones bloodstream, and the factors would be contributing to the complications that would be leading to the pulmonary embolisms, the deep vein thrombosis, along with the strokes and the heart attacks.
After a week of their decision on accepting all the cases against the Bayer company and the other related manufacturers as the MDL-2100, Bayer had admitted that about 129 lawsuits have been files against them that had been involving the Yasmin and Yaz. As these cases would now be crossing only the desk of Judge Herndon, it would be estimated that about thousands of these cases would be involved with this MDL that will still be coming in the next months.
On average, the Bayer Company would be earning about $1.8 billion for their sales of the Yazmin drug, and while these cases along with the allegations would be continuing to be piling up, these prescription contraceptives are still readily available along with still being given to women all across the US.
Problems Associated with the Gallbladder as Resulting from Yaz
April 6, 2010 by US Drug Recall
Yaz is a prescription drug for birth control that is under-fire for potentially causing a number of harmful side effects. Gallbladder disease is included as one of the most common of those side effects. This disease results from the formation of gallstones within the organ. Contained within the liver, the gallbladder is small and stores bile as well as aides indigestion. Gallbladder disease is normally not life threatening, but it is a painful condition that can create additional problems with digestion. Women are two times more likely than men to develop gallbladder disease. As associated with Yaz, gallbladder disease may have far-reaching consequences.
Gallbladder disease usually takes the forms of cholelithiasis or cholecystitis. Cancer of the gallbladder also exists, although it is rare. The former results when gallstones form within the gallbladder and prevent bile flow from the liver to the intestines; cholecystitis occurs when the gallbladder is inflamed. Both conditions are very painful and have the potential to cause serious infections.
Gallbladder disease can produce the following symptoms:
- Intense pain of the upper back, typically located on the body’s right side or in the middle of the shoulder blades.
- Upper abdominal pain, similar to that of an ulcer.
- Low-grade fever accompanied by sweating.
- Diarrhea, vomiting, nausea and loss of appetite.
Jaundice is yet another symptom exhibited by gallbladder disease that is serious in nature. Bile from the liver flows back into the gallbladder if bile ducts grow plugged with gallstones. From there, the bile flows into the bloodstream. Skin grows yellow when this occurs, and eyes also become yellow in more severe cases. Jaundice can create vitamin deficiencies as well as liver disease.
Yaz triggers a spike in estrogen, and this can potentially raise cholesterol levels. High cholesterol is one contributing factor to the formation of gallstones. Attacks from gallstones occur in rapid succession; once the initial stone occurs, the gallbladder falls increasingly vulnerable to future attacks. Pain that results from an attack can last for up to five hours. That pain generally will be experienced in the back or the abdomen, and can have duration of a half hour or several hours.
Cholecystits produces almost the identical symptoms as demonstrated by gallstones, in addition to inflammation. That swelling also restricts bile ducts and can cause problems involving the pancreas, digestion and bile displacement. The pancreas is crucial for the digestive process, and inflammation of this organ could be life-threatening.
Gallbladder disease shares a number of symptoms that are associated with other conditions as well. Accordingly, if you or someone you know experiences any of the above symptoms, you are advised to seek immediate medical attention. This is especially true of those persons who have been taking Yaz. If the only exhibited symptom is a stomach ache, attention from a medical provider should still be sought. Early detection could prevent future digestive problems, or even save your life. Detection methods such as blood tests, ultrasounds, CAT scans, X-Rays and other means can be employed by medical experts to find gallbladder inflammation and gallstones.
Two surgery procedures are linked to gallbladder disease: laparoscopic cholecystectomy and open cholecystectomy. In the former procedure, four incisions are made around the rib cage, hip and abdomen to remove obstructions from the gallbladder rather than altogether removing the organ. This surgery usually requires one or two hours, but just one day of recovery in the hospital is necessary. With a cholecystectomy operation, an incision placed under the rib cage allows physicians to remove the gallbladder. This can require one or two hours as well, although recovery time in the hospital is up to five days.
The two surgeries both contain the potential for side effects. With gallbladder cleaning measures, future attacks may still occur. This includes future incidents of back and abdominal pain, and heightened risk for pancreatitis, liver disease and jaundice. Removal of the gallbladder is the only certainty to stop gallstones. Infection and blood clotting may also result from the surgical procedures. In addition, digestive complications may occur from gallbladder removal.
If you experience any of the symptoms described here or are diagnosed with having gallbladder disease, you are advised to seek immediate medical attention. Assistance from a medical professional can begin ready treatment. If you think Yaz has caused your gallbladder disease, it is your legal right to seek compensation for all medical expenses you incur. You may also receive compensation for pain and suffering endured by you and your family. Free consultation is available at The Newsome Law Firm for users of prescription Yaz who have suffered severe side effects.
Blood Clots are Associated with Use of Yaz
April 4, 2010 by US Drug Recall
A potential side effect recently associated with Yaz, a prescription drug for birth control, is thrombus, or blood clotting. Usually, after a person has suffered such injury as a cut, the body naturally produces a blood clot as a means to heal. The blood coagulates at the cut to prevent further loss of blood. As such, a blood clot poses no risk for harm. Blood clots as caused by Yaz, however, can be quite dangerous.
The most severe cases are identified by blood clots that occur in an artery or vein. Those that occasion in a major artery are life threatening. A difficult element of blood clots is their ability to arise unexpectedly. It is essential, therefore, that individuals be aware of symptoms in order to prevent and detect these conditions.
Blood clots that form in the lungs produce such symptoms as low-grade fever, shortness of breath, and traces of blood in coughing, rapid heart rate and sharp chest pain. Those clots that occur in the artery of a leg or arm may create faint blue colorations, swelling and sudden pain. Should a clot form in a vein, the symptoms may include tenderness and swelling. Blood clots in the brain have the potential to cause speech impairment, seizures, muscle weakness and visual disturbances. These can lead to transient ischemic attack or stroke. A blood clot located in the heart may cause chest pains that lead to heart attack. Such clots can also move to other arteries and organs of the body. Such conditions as heart failure, atrial fibrillation, enlarged heart, past heart attack, valvular heart disease and atherosclerosis can create blood clots. In the abdomen, a blood clot may be signified by diarrhea, vomiting and intense abdominal pain.
If you experience any of the symptoms listed here, you are advised to seek immediate medical attention. Obtain assistance from a health professional or physician to begin ready treatment. If you think Yaz caused you to have blood clotting, it is your legal right to seek compensation for all medical expenses that you incur. You may also obtain compensation for pain and suffering as experienced by you and your family.
Although life insurance is not readily available in some countries and to some people, Yaz is offered worldwide.
Ocella Side Effects

Ocella, the generic form of Yaz and Yasmin, is a fourth generation birth control which uses a combination of the progestin drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol to help prevent women from getting pregnant. It is also prescribed to help treat mild cases of acne and to aid with symptoms of premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). Ocella is distributed and manufactured by Barr Pharmaceuticals. Yaz/Yasmin and the generic form of the drug, Ocella are the most popular forms of drospirenone based prescription birth control in the United States.
Just like Yasmin and Yaz, Ocella’s main components are ethinyl estradiol and drospirenone, which, when combined, prevent pregnancy by altering the lining of the uterus and the cervix. This makes it difficult for the sperm to reach the eggs and for the fertilized eggs to attach to the uterus.
However, like Yasmin and Yaz, Ocella has been reported to be the cause of serious side effects which could be fatal or cause permanent damage. Yaz, Yasmin and Ocella are the only forms of oral birth control which contain drospirenone, which can increse potassium levels in the bloodstream. This increase in potassium could lead to serious side effects in women such as Pulmonary Emboli, Gallbladder Disease, Deep Vein Thrombosis, and sudden death.
Ocella is not recommended for women who have pre-existing kidney, liver, or adrenal diseases because they may be more susceptible to the increased levels of potassium in the bloodstream. It is also not recommended for women who have medical histories that include, high blood pressure, prior strokes, prior heart attacks, depression, unusual menstrual cycle or the vaginal bleeding, and certain types of cancers.
Women who become pregnant need to stop taking Ocella becasue Ocella and similar birth controls could cause serious birth defects. Women who use Ocella should maintain a healthy lifestyle them to avoide suffering from the more serious effects of this drug. Alcohol and tobacco should completely be avoided when taking Ocella, along with any type of prescription medications that would not be passed by the medical experts.

FDA had criticized the Yaz ads, ‘Balloons,’ which would still being aired today.
FDA had issued the warning letter about this ad that had been created by Y&R. Just one of these had had been removed from airing.
Their warning letter had said that since Yaz has been approved as the contraceptive pill along with being a treatment of PMDD and in a few cases it had helped with acne, their ads could have been viewed as them suggesting this drug to be a remedied for PMS along with the broader conditions that would cause the acne.
There has yet to be any clear distinctions.
The FDA had cited the ad that was named “Not Going to Take It” telling them that they would need to distinguish the differences between PMS and PMDD. This drug treats the PMDD but is not at all approved for treating the PMS. Their letter had also said that the pictures of the playful, euphoric women that had been singing the song “We’re not gonna take it” as they were kicking, punching and pushing the words that would be describing the symptoms like moodiness, irritability, feeling anxious and bloating had suggested that Yaz was going to treat the PMS.
Yaz Strokes

Like dangers of heart attacks, a woman could experience the stroke when their body’s estrogen levels would be increased. The prescription contraceptive, regardless of it being the patch or the pill form, would affect your hormone levels. This would be the leading reason that many women have experienced more strokes when they would be reaching certain ages over men. Y
az is nothing different, according to all the allegations women who have been using this prescription drug have been reporting that they have experienced strokes as their severe side effects. Even the low estrogen pill would give the women greater chances of experiencing the strokes. The Yaz strokes truly are a very serious condition.
The stroke would occur when your brain tissue would stop receiving the oxygen. The tissue then will quickly die away as the oxygen and blood flow would become cut off. The stroke affects many abilities in people and would leave them with the limited or even without feelings in certain areas of their bodies, movement of their legs and arms, hearing, balance, respiratory functions, vision and speech would become very hard for a person to do. Treatment and reaction are very urgent for one to receive since when you would be able to cut the time that had been spent without the medical attention, you could almost prevent death and try to save more of the brain from being ruined. The symptoms of the strokes would be including, Intense headache, loss or sudden blurriness in vision in either one or both of your eyes, fatigue, Exhaustion, Facial pain, vomiting, unable to speak coherently, slurring words, Numbness or legs or arms, trouble walking, difficulty breathing, chest pains, diarrhea and nausea.
